CAIIB 2026 Registration and Exam Dates Released by IIBF
CAIIB Exam Dates for June & December 2026 Are Out. After a wait that always feels longer than it actually is, IIBF has officially released the CAIIB exam dates and registration schedule for both the June 2026 and December 2026 cycles. If you've been sitting on your JAIIB certificate wondering when to make the move — this is your cue.
The notification dropped on 2nd February 2026, covering everything from registration windows to paper-wise exam dates. Here's all of it, laid out clearly.
CAIIB June 2026 Registration Dates
Registration for the June 2026 cycle is now open. The window runs through three phases, with late fees kicking in after the first week. If you can register in the first window, do it — there's no benefit to paying the extra ₹100 or ₹200.
| Registration Window | Dates | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Fee | 04 Mar 2026 – 10 Mar 2026 | Normal Examination Fee |
| Late Fee (₹100 extra) | 11 Mar 2026 – 17 Mar 2026 | Normal Fee + ₹100 |
| Late Fee (₹200 extra) | 18 Mar 2026 – 24 Mar 2026 | Normal Fee + ₹200 |
Registration closes on 24th March 2026. Don't leave it to the last week.
CAIIB June 2026 Exam Schedule
The June 2026 exams run across five dates from end-May through mid-June, with each paper on a separate day. All five papers are conducted in online mode — the exact time slot will be mentioned in your admit card.
| Exam Date | Paper |
|---|---|
| 31 May 2026 | Advanced Bank Management (ABM) |
| 07 Jun 2026 | Bank Financial Management (BFM) |
| 13 Jun 2026 | Advanced Business & Financial Management (ABFM) |
| 14 Jun 2026 | Banking Regulations and Business Laws (BRBL) |
| 21 Jun 2026 | Elective Paper |
One thing worth noting — BRBL and the Elective paper are only a week apart. Don't make the mistake of neglecting your elective while preparing for BRBL. Both need focused attention in the final stretch.
CAIIB December 2026 Registration Dates
Missed the June cycle, or prefer giving yourself more time? The December 2026 window opens in September.
| Registration Window | Dates | Fee |
|---|---|---|
| Normal Fee | 01 Sep 2026 – 07 Sep 2026 | Normal Examination Fee |
| Late Fee (₹100 extra) | 08 Sep 2026 – 14 Sep 2026 | Normal Fee + ₹100 |
| Late Fee (₹200 extra) | 15 Sep 2026 – 21 Sep 2026 | Normal Fee + ₹200 |
CAIIB December 2026 Exam Schedule
The December cycle runs from early to late December, giving candidates who register in September a good 2.5 months of preparation time.
| Exam Date | Paper |
|---|---|
| 06 Dec 2026 | Advanced Bank Management (ABM) |
| 12 Dec 2026 | Bank Financial Management (BFM) |
| 13 Dec 2026 | Advanced Business & Financial Management (ABFM) |
| 20 Dec 2026 | Banking Regulations and Business Laws (BRBL) |
| 27 Dec 2026 | Elective Paper |
The elective paper sits at the very end — 27th December. That's actually useful because it gives you the most time to prepare for your chosen specialisation after clearing the compulsory papers.
CAIIB 2026 Application Fee
The fee structure for CAIIB hasn't changed and is straightforward — pay more upfront for the first attempt, and significantly less for subsequent attempts.
| Attempt | Fee (+ GST as applicable) |
|---|---|
| 1st Attempt | ₹5,000 |
| 2nd Attempt | ₹1,300 |
| 3rd Attempt | ₹1,300 |
| 4th Attempt | ₹1,300 |
| 5th Attempt | ₹1,300 |
*Plus, GST as applicable
A quick note on attempt rules: IIBF gives you 5 attempts within 3 years from your first registration date. Each cycle you register for — whether you appear or not — counts as one attempt. So don't register and skip without thinking it through.
CAIIB 2026 Elective Papers
Every candidate has to choose one elective paper in addition to the four compulsory papers. You have five options to pick from:
- Rural Banking
- Human Resources Management
- Information Technology & Digital Banking
- Risk Management
- Central Banking
Most candidates choose based on their current job role or the area they're most comfortable with. If you're in a rural or agricultural lending branch, Rural Banking is the obvious pick. If you're in IT or digital channels, go for IT & Digital Banking. Risk Management tends to suit those in credit, compliance, or internal audit roles.
The good news is that if you don't clear the elective in one attempt, you can switch to a different elective in the next — you're not locked in.
CAIIB 2026 Exam Pattern
The exam pattern hasn't changed from the revised syllabus introduced in 2023. Here's what to expect:
| Paper | No. of Questions | Total Marks | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Advanced Bank Management (ABM) | 100 | 100 | 2 Hours |
| Bank Financial Management (BFM) | 100 | 100 | 2 Hours |
| Adv. Business & Financial Management (ABFM) | 100 | 100 | 2 Hours |
| Banking Regulations & Business Laws (BRBL) | 100 | 100 | 2 Hours |
| Elective Paper (any one) | 100 | 100 | 2 Hours |
No negative marking. All questions are multiple choice, with some case-study based questions especially in ABM and ABFM.
Passing criteria: Score at least 50 out of 100 in each paper. Alternatively, if you score a minimum of 45 in each paper with an overall aggregate of 50% or above in a single attempt, you also pass.
A Word on BFM Don't Underestimate It
Of all five papers, BFM is the one that consistently catches candidates off guard. It's the most numerical, the most formula-heavy, and the most similar in feel to a finance exam rather than a banking one. Modules A and B carry the heaviest question weightage, so give those the most time. Theory questions run across all modules, but the numericals are almost entirely concentrated in A and B.
If there's one paper to start mock-test practice on early, it's BFM.
CAIIB 2026 Admit Card
The CAIIB Admit Card for the June 2026 cycle will be available roughly 10 to 15 days before the exam. Download it from the official IIBF website once the link goes live — it won't be sent by post. Your exam centre, shift timing, and paper-wise schedule will all be in the admit card.
CAIIB 2026 Result
Results are typically declared 6 to 8 weeks after the completion of each cycle. IIBF publishes paper-wise results on the official website, so you can track which papers you've cleared and which you need to re-attempt.
Credits for cleared papers are retained until your validity period expires — so even if you don't clear everything in one cycle, you don't have to redo papers you've already passed.
