The Junior Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (JAIIB) examination is an essential milestone for banking professionals in India. Conducted twice a year by the Indian Institute of Banking & Finance (IIBF). The JAIIB exam is conducted on the revised syllabus introduced from May 2023. Week 1-4: JAIIB Study Plan for Paper 3 - Accounting and Financial Management for Bankers (AFM)

Whether you are a commerce or non-commerce background aspirant, kick off your JAIIB 2026 preparation with the Accounting Paper first. Since this paper requires a lot of practice in accounting calculation in each chapter, you must first conquer it to avoid a firefighting situation.

Week 5-8: JAIIB Study Plan for Paper 2 - Principles and Practices of Banking (PPB)

The PPB paper is the lengthiest paper having 55 chapters divided into four modules. You need a lot of practice on this paper. So finish this paper in the second round of your preparation. Chapters are segregated from easy to difficult module-wise for maximum coverage of the chapters.

Week 9-11: JAIIB Study Plan for Paper 4 - Retail Banking and Wealth Management (RBWM)

The RBWM was added to the JAIIB syllabus from May 2023. This is not very difficult compared with the other three papers but it can give you a googly at any time — hence do not take it lightly, especially when most of the questions are asked about the latest happenings in the retail banking segment.

Week 12-14: JAIIB Study Plan for Paper 1 - Indian Economy and Indian Financial System (IEIFS)

The IEIFS paper is divided into two parts - modules A and B cover the Indian Economy and modules C and D cover the Indian Financial System. This paper has been a nightmare for most students since its introduction. Questions are asked from the basic and fundamental concepts of each chapter. Never take this paper lightly. You need at least 3 weeks to thoroughly prepare this paper.
