Important Registration-Date Clarification

The annual IIBF examination calendar initially listed the following registration windows:

  • 1–7 September 2026: Normal examination fee

  • 8–14 September 2026: Normal fee plus ₹100

  • 15–21 September 2026: Normal fee plus ₹200

CAIIB Eligibility Criteria

A candidate must meet the following conditions:

  1. The candidate must be a member of IIBF.

  2. The candidate must have completed JAIIB or Part I of the Associate Examination.

  3. The candidate’s IIBF membership subscription should not be in arrears.

Elective Paper

CAIIB Application Form 2026

The CAIIB application form must be submitted online through the official IIBF website during the notified registration period.

Candidates should not submit payment through an unofficial link, agent or third-party website.

Once the application window becomes active, candidates should:

  1. Visit https://www.iibf.org.in/.

  2. Open the examination or flagship-courses section.

  3. Select CAIIB.

  4. Log in using their IIBF membership credentials.

CAIIB Examination Fees

The CAIIB examination fees prescribed by IIBF are:

CAIIB Elective Examination Fee Clarification

IIBF also offers CAIIB electives as separate certificate examinations. The fee shown for that separate elective examination is ₹1,100 plus applicable taxes.

This should not be confused with the standard CAIIB first-attempt fee of ₹5,000, under which a candidate completes four compulsory papers and one selected elective.

Some CAIIB subjects may contain numerical questions without answer options. Candidates may be required to calculate and enter the answer directly.

IIBF may vary the number of questions in a paper.

CAIIB Passing Criteria

A candidate can complete CAIIB under either of the following conditions:

  • Secure at least 50 marks out of 100 in every paper; or

  • Secure at least 45 marks in every paper and obtain an aggregate of at least 50% across all subjects in a single attempt.

Candidates can retain credit for papers already passed until the applicable time limit expires.

CAIIB Attempts and Time Limit

A candidate is allowed a maximum of five attempts to complete CAIIB within three years, whichever limit is reached first.

The five attempts need not be consecutive. However, an attempt is counted when the candidate applies for the examination, even if the candidate does not appear.

If the candidate does not complete CAIIB within five attempts or three years:

  • Fresh enrolment will be required.

  • Credits earned for previously passed papers will not be retained.

  • The candidate will have to complete the examination under the rules applicable at the time of fresh enrolment.

CAIIB Examination Medium

Candidates may take the examination in English or Hindi. The selected medium must be specified while submitting the application.

IIBF does not ordinarily permit candidates to change the examination medium after registration.

CAIIB Admit Letter 2026

IIBF will make the CAIIB December 2026 admit letter available before the examination.

Registered candidates should check:
